Part of an Indian sandstone patio had sunk and water sat in the dip. We lifted it, rebuilt the base, relaid the slabs and repointed the patio.

A Sunken Section, Lifted and Put Right
The customer noticed water pooling on one part of their Indian sandstone patio. The slabs in that area had sunk, so rain had nowhere to go but into the dip.
We lifted the failed section and redid the sub-base in Type 1 MOT, compacted to raise it back up. The slabs went back down on a strong sharp sand and cement mortar mix.
Then we cleaned the patio and repointed it with Titan Pro Joint.

Why Relevel Rather Than Just Repoint
Repointing on its own would not have fixed this one. The slabs had dropped because what was under them had given way, and new pointing over a sunken base would only have cracked and let the water back in. So the failed area came up, the base was rebuilt, and only then did the pointing go in.
